Visuals can sometimes lack but this is a solid deal. Also does a lot of lighting, Sky, water, and general environment tweaks that make it a nice all-in-one. Note that the 3jFPS plugin needs to have the cloud density settings tweaked up in order to properly render overcast (if you use 3jFPS). This is my preferred VR plugin mainly due to performance. UWXP is a good all-around option and is reasonably priced at $35 (I think on sale now for $25). Kind of expensive with the $20 “RealWeatherConnector” being necessary to use ASXP, total of $60 for the suite. Overcast conditions can turn into a VR slideshow. I tried this as I was looking for a good VR-compatible plugin, with mixed results. Lots of cloud texture options, and has a great/polished look. Skymaxx Pro has great visuals but is performance-heavy.

Also works great with the included cloud textures or just default. Hoping for better native weather in XP12.ĪctiveSky is great for a weather injector (actual weather data/wind, layers, etc.) and is compatible with UWXP, Enhanced Skyscapes, and Skymaxx Pro. Unfortunately, this has proven much easier said than done. I’ve tried basically every weather plugin available for XP11 in an effort to get the best balance of functionality, visuals and performance.
